This weekend, Mayor Caroline Woodley, Deputy Mayor Anntoinette Bramble, and Diane Abbott MP stood shoulder-to-shoulder with hundreds of thousands of campaigners to march against the far-right.

As a newly accredited Borough of Sanctuary, Hackney is built on openness and community. We know that if we stand together in solidarity, we can reject hate and rise above it. London is, and always will be, a place of welcome. This weekend was a powerful reminder that when they try to divide us, we respond with unity.
